Richard L. Wintermute

 

Richard L. Wintermute, age 82, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home.

Richard was born in Marion, Ohio on August 2, 1928. He was the son of the late Albert and Helen Wintermute. Richard was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty J. (Hulse) Wintermute, brothers Robert Wintermute and Glenn Wintermute, and nephew Mike Hulse.

Richard is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, Pat (Ken) Lundburg, Robert Jr. (Judy) Wintermute, Susan Wintermute, David (Betsy) Wintermute, Dr. Carol Wintermute, Steve (Carrie Jo) Wintermute, Michele (David) Dicke, Chris (Janet) Schein, Mark (Toni) Schein, Pete (Hewitt) Hulse, John Schein, Jane (Bruce) Willmore and Brian (Peg) Hulse.

Richard was a longtime member of North Community Lutheran Church and heretired from Columbia Gas as a Rate Analyst. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Richard was a member of the Marion Masonic Lodge #70, Scottish Rite and the Aladdin Temple Shrine. He enjoyed studying his family genealogy and had a true love for life.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with family receiving friends one hour prior at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, Pastor Chris Adams officiating. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to HomeReach Hospice c/o Ohio Health Foundation, 180 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or a community hospice of your choice.
