James Cool Wark was born on 13 February 1914 in Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana.2,1 He and Eleanor Agnes Wagner were married on 30 June 1945 in Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana, St. Paul Catholic Church.3 He died on 11 February 2001, at age 86, in Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana.2 He was buried in Saint Pauls Cemetery, Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana.

Valparaiso -- James C. Wark, 86, of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2001 at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso. Born in Valparaiso, February 13, 1914, the son of the late Charles Robert and La Vanchie Cool Wark. Lifelong resident and owner of Wark Hardware, Valparaiso. Member of St. Paul Catholic Church. On June 30, 1945 he married Eleanor A. Wagner at St. Paul Catholic Church, Valparaiso, who preceded him in death. Survived by daughter, Mary Helen (John) Petersen of Bellevue, Nebraska; three grandsons: John (Amy) Petersen, Brian and Jeffrey Petersen; brother, Harry C. Wark of Valparaiso; three sisters: Irene Coover of Mesa, AZ, Ruth M. Heller of Hilton Head, S. C., and Mary Helen Keller of Irvine, CA; sister-in-law, Polly Wark of Hawaii. Also preceded in death by his brothers, John, Speedy, Charles and Tom and three sisters, Ethel Moran, Alene Wark and Betty Quinn.
Funeral Thursday, February 15, 2001, from Dykes Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. to St. Paul Catholic Church for 11 a.m. Mass, with Rev. Joseph Pawlowski and Msgr. John J. Charlebois con-celebrating. Visitation Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. at Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 North Campbell St., Valparaiso, Indiana.
