BAYS, Richard N. “It was a long road, But I am finally home” October 2, 2009 age 71 of Hillman formerly of Lake Orion. Dear father of Louis, Constance, Jeffery, Daniel (Lynne) Bays and the late Michelle. Grandfather of Heather, Shane, Sarah, Kyle, Jacob, Mason and Deklyn. Great-grandfather of Daniel and Thomas. Brother of Sally (Lee) Horton and Christina (Perry) Lane. Mr. Bays was retired from Michigan Bell Telephone Company where he was a Lineman. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed snowmobiling and he loved his log home on Ess Lake. He also was a member of Local #4123. Richard was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Funeral service 1pm, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Thursday11am until time of service. Casual attire is preferred.
