Robert Ellwyn Hale was born on 3 October 1918 in Michigan.1,3 He and Virginia Frances Chambers were married on 25 April 1943 in Cadillac, Wexford, Michigan.4 He died on 19 March 1997, at age 78, in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan.3 He was buried in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (Veterans Gardens), Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan.5
