Donald D. Whitmore Sr., 79, of 991 Marble Hill Road, Harmony Township, N.J., died Sunday at his home. He was the husband of Niami (Ryman) Whitmore, who died in 1982.
Whitmore was a foreman at Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg, where he worked for 45 years before retiring in 1972.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Digby and Grace (Dewey) Whitmore.
Survivors: Sons, Donald D. Jr. and John C., both of Broadway, N.J., and Barry L. of Des Moines, Iowa; daughters, Shirley Kuseryk of Harmony Township, Sharon Lefler of Phillipsburg and Carol Sickels of Springtown, N.J.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Sharon A. Whitmore Lefler
Sharon A. Lefler, 80, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on March 22, 2018, at the Care Center of Lopatcong. Born Jan. 28, 1938, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald Whitmore and Niami Ryman Whitmore. She was also predeceased by her husband, the late Willard Lefler Sr., son, Gregory Lefler, brother, Donald Whitmore, and son-in-law, Frederick Blackwell.
Mrs. Lefler was employed at the Hunterdon Developmental Center in Clinton, N.J., where she worked in client care and as a supervisor. She was a 4-H leader where she taught sewing and was an enthusiastic baker and enjoyed doing crafts.
Sharon is survived by her children: Cinda Blackwell of Palmer Township, PA, Sharie Lefler and companion, Tyna McNamire, of Phillipsburg, Willard Lefler and wife, Kelly, of Phillipsburg, and Amos Lefler and wife, Teresa, of Wind Gap, PA. Her grandchildren are Jennifer Bryan, AJ Lefler, Alysha Lefler, Krista Lefler, and Tyler Hurley, and great-grandchildren are Colin and Alexa Bryan and Brook Fye. Mrs. Lefler is also survived by sisters and brothers: Shirley Kuseryk of Harmony Township, NJ, John Whitmore of Broadway, N.J., Carol Sickels of Springtown, NJ, and Barry Whitmore, also of Springtown, NJ.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 26, 2017, at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. The interment will be at the Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery.
