Wesley Franklin Potter Passed away on April 20, 2011 at age 83 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on August 25, 1927 to Levi and Frankie Potter in Lansing, MI. Wesley was a proud veteran of WWII honorably serving in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and bowling.

Wesley was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, of 43 years, Mary Lou Potter; Children, Timothy (Helen) Potter, Peter (Cheryl) Potter, Melody Barguss; stepchildren, Cindy (Mike) Giant, Pam (Mike) Reinert, Laurie (Eric) Lander, Mike (Shawn) Morgan; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Burial will follow at Munger Cemetery with military honors.

An area resident all her life, Lydia Swan of 630 West Columbia, Mason, died July 28 in Ranck's Green Meadows Nursing Home, Stockbridge. She was 91.

Mrs. Swan had been a resident of the home since April 26, 1971.

Surviving her are her four sons, Merle of Mason, Ben of Stockbridge, Lawrence of Dansville and Morris, also of Mason. four daughters, Mrs. Ilah Howell, Mrs. Shirley Post and Mrs. Ellen Witt, all of Mason, and Mrs. Donna Woods, of Dansvile; her brother and sister, Ivan and Hazel Potter, 20 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren also survive.

Her husband, Hoyle preceded her in death in 1940.

The Rev, Paul K. Scheibner officiated at services held for her Saturday, July 31, at the Ball-Dunn Funeral home in Mason. She was buried in Fairview cemetery, Dansville.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Swan were Stanley Swan, Marvin Swan, J.R. Parson, Howard Burgess, Larry Swan, Kenneth Woods, Donald Christiansen and Darrell Fisk.

GARY D. WITT Dansville, MI Age 67. Gary joined his parents in heaven on November 12, 2009. He was born March 22, 1942 in Williamston, MI to Paris and Ellen (Swan) Witt. Gary enjoyed farming with his Dad, putting puzzles together, going to auction sales, and fishing and bowling with his nephews. He attended Beekman Center, Bretton Square, Transitions South Sheltered Workshop and most recently the Senior Team. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Brother-in-law, Howard Burgess; and Great Niece, Rebecca Ried. Surviving are his sisters, Janice (Jerry) Ried of Mason, Nancy (Ted) Miller of Prudenville and Joann Burgess of Holt; special Aunts, Donna Moore of St. Johns, Viola Swan of Dansville, Margaret Witt of DeWitt, Jeanette Witt of Mason; and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with Rev. Stephen Ezop officiating.
