Gordon D. Haney was born on 20 July 1921 in New Jersey.1,2 He died on 18 December 2004, at age 83, in Nazareth, Northampton, Pennsylvania.2 He was buried in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Northampton, Pennsylvania.3

Gordon Haney, 83, of Nazareth, Pa., died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Born: On July 20, 1921 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late Samuel and Edna Hager Haney. Personal: He was the husband of the former Eileen M. Kolackosky. He was employed as a Construction Minor with the Sandhog Tunnel Workers Union Local #147 in New York and #472 in New Jersey with Schiavone Construction Company. Gordon served in the Navy during World War II with the Seabees. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Eileen, he is survived by two sons, Douglas A. of Kunkletown, Pa., Richard of West Virginia; three daughters, Laurie of Glen Gardner, NJ, Barbara of Jupider, Fl, Donna of South Amboy, NJ; and three grandchildren, John Markovitz, Lucas, and Pap's little lady, Mariah. A brother, Earl, died earlier. Services: A funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ. A calling hour will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., Pa. The Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg, NJ, is in charge of the arrangements.

Earl R. Haney, 82, of Kunkletown, Pa., died on Monday, January 17, 2005 in Pleasant Valley Manor, Snydersville, Pa. Born: On January 1, 1923 in Harmony Twp., NJ, he was a son of the late Samual and Edna Hager Haney. Personal: His wife, the former, Kathryn Hockenbury, died in 1991. He was a kitchen helper, employed by Hagedorn Geriatrics, Glen Gardner, NJ. He had also worked for the former Taylor Wharton Company in High Bridge, NJ as a sand mixer. He served in the Army during World War II. He was an avid bowler. Survivors: He is survived by three sons, Barry of Honesdale, Pa., Gordan of Kunkletown, Pa., Kevin of Leesburg, Fl.; two daughters, Sharon of Oxford, NJ, Robin Encke of Stroudsburg, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Laura, died in 1995, and a brother Gordon died in 2004. Services: Friends may call on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cokesbury Cemetery, Cokesbury. Memorials: Donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
