Patrick Michael Rogers, Sr., age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at the Mecosta County Medical Center.
Patrick was born on March 1, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Vernan and Margaret (Switz) Rogers. He was raised in the Mt. Pleasant area and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1965.
On June 26, 1978, Patrick married the love of his life, Linda Ann Kanine in Ithaca. He was stationed in Germany while serving our country in the US Army. He was employed by Lobdell Emery for 20 years and Parker Hannifin for 11 years. Patrick attended the Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Pleasant and was a member of the St. Louis Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, painting and camping.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda; their children: Michele Ann (Heath) Hudkins of Edmore, Bridgett Duke of Fla., Patrick Mike (Lori) Rogers, Jr. of Greenville, David Rogers of Calif., Steven (Joni) Rogers of Stanton, James (Tanya) Wiggins of Grand Rapids and Jason (Tanya) Cole of Lakeview; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dick (Ramal) Rogers of OH, Tony (Pam) Rogers of Kalamazoo, Judy Gramm of Battle Creek, Mary Catherine of Petoskey and Margaret Ann Koloski of MI and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service has been scheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, with Pastor Dale Murray officiating.
