Kathryn Gannaway was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Colome, S.D. She grew up and attended school in Kennebec, S.D. She then lived in Draper, Pierre and Sioux Falls, all South Dakota. She married Karl Leithoff in Valentine, Neb., in November 1940. She worked in insurance in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, S.D. She later moved to Rapid City, where she married Earl Louder. They moved to Fargo. He died in 1992. She entered the nursing home in 2000.

She is survived by two daughters, Lana Surrell, Fargo, Karla Leithoff, Shorewood, Wis.; a brother, Varyl, Bolton, England; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday from 1-2 in Bethany Homes.

Funeral: Tuesday at 2 in the Mavis Whiting Chapel, Bethany Homes.

Burial: Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, S.D.
