Erwin F. Miller, 85, of Sellersville, previously of Quakertown, died Monday, July 9 in Grand View Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret H. (Landis) Miller. They were married for 62 years in May. Born in Springfield Township, Bucks County, he was the son of the late Erwin F. Sr. and Katie (Fretz) Miller. He was a bank teller for the former Merchants and Bucks County banks for 35 years before retiring in 1983. He graduated with the class of 1939 from the former Springfield Township High School and attended Bethlehem Business School.

A 1953 graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, N.Y., he was a merchant marine officer for the Mobil Oil Corp., retiring in 1985. Before that, he taught marine biology at Southampton (N.Y.) College for several years.

Born in Milford, N.J., he was a son of Dorothy K. (Keown) Frankenfield of Allentown and the late Calvin S. Frankenfield.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and served in the Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War.

Survivors: Wife and mother; son, Kurt C., in North Carolina, and a grandson.
