Ralph E. Koehl was a Veterinary Assistant- Epperson & Epperson Veterinary Clinic.3 Ralph E. Koehl, 89, of formerly of Portland Way North in Galion, died Friday, April 2, 2010 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Upper Sandusky.

Born May 10, 1920 in Sycamore, he was the son of the late Jacob Koehl and Cleo (Staum) Koehl. He was preceded Sept. 8, 2007 by his wife, Martha (Lease) Koehl whom he married on Sept. 7, 1958.

Ralph has been a Crawford County resident since his marriage. Due to ill health he was retired from Epperson and Epperson Veterinary Clinic, where he had been employed as a veterinary assistant. He was a talented musician playing the clarinet and saxophone in different bands. He graduated from Sycamore High School in 1938 and was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Bucyrus and its Co-workers Class. He also belonged to the Sycamore Historical Society and the Texas Township Conservation League.

Surviving are one sister, Kathryn Clever of Mansfield; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Virgil Bogard of Upper Sandusky and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 6, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Cynthia Morrison officiating.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford United Methodist Church in care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, 218 S. Market St., Galion, OH 44833.

Kathryn L. Koehl was educated Heidelberg College.3 She was awarded a Home Economics.3 She was a School Teacher/ Clever Insurance Agency Operator.3 LEXINGTON: Longtime Lexington resident KATHRYN L. (KOEHL) CLEVER, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Mansfield Memorial Homes. She was 89.

Born February 16, 1923 in Sycamore to Jacob A. & Cleo (Staum) Koehl, she was graduated from Sycamore High School. She earned her degree in home economics from Heidelberg College, and taught at both Nevada High School and Lexington High School.

On July 10, 1948 she married George F. Clever, and together they operated Clever Insurance Agency in Lexington. She was a member of Lexington Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the board of directors for the Lexington Senior-Civic Center.

She is survived by her daughter Marcia Haver (Dale Thompson) of Mansfield; grandchildren Sarah Lang (Brian) of Alexandria, VA, Allison Haver (Miles Parsons) of Kenton and Anna Haver of Columbus; great grandchildren Henry Lang and William Lang; sisters- and brothers-in-law Dorothy & Bob Snyder of Colorado, Helen & Ted Swingle of Florida, June Clever of Kingston, Laurann Clever of Mansfield and Marie Koehl of Tiffin; her former daughter-in-law Cheryl Clever of Melbourne, Fla. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her husband George preceded her in death on January 8, 1983. Also deceased are her son Robert Clever (2006), her grandson Adam C. Clever (2005) and brothers George Koehl and Paul Koehl.

Her family will receive friends at a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lexington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kathryn's memory to Lexington Presbyterian Church or the Lexington Senior-Civic Center may be made at the funeral home.
