He worked as a lumberjack and then farmed in Trout Creek, Montana.

During World War II he worked for Remington Arms in Denver.

He moved to Spokane from Denver in 1945 and worked as a machinist. He also worked for Valley Bowl as a mechanic until he retired.

His wife, Erna Cook, died in 1987.

Mr. Cook is survived by two sons, Roger Cook of Mukilteo, Washington, and Jim Cook of Spokane; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
