Ernest William Carpenter of the first concession East Aldboro Township died at his home on Sunday after a short illness. He was born in the Township of Yarmouth in 1870 and moved to Aldboro 47 years ago. He married Edith May Course in 1893 who survives , also two sons, Roy at home and Frank of Windsor, two daughters, Lena Deary of Aldboro and Vera Reid of West Lorne; four grandchildren, Frank and Lloyd Carpenter of Windsor and Roy Deary of Rodney and Lottie Deary of West Lorne. The body is resting at his late residence until Wednesday morning when removal will be made to the Walker Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Mr. J. Davis of London at 3 p.m. Burial in the Rodney Cemetery.

Deary is survived by his wife, Jean and one sister, Lottie Hague, of St. Thomas.

Funeral was conducted from the Ford Funeral Home, in Blenheim, today. Burial was in St. Thomas.
