Thomas (Tom) Eugene Adolph was educated Iowa State College- Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Thomas Eugene Adolph, the son of Fred and Anne Thomssen Adolph, was born April 11, 1929 at Hartley, Iowa. He passed into eternal life in Hartley on July 13, 1962, following a brief illness. He had reached the age of 33 years, 3 months and 2 days.

He attended the Hartley public schools, and was graduated from Hartley High School in 1947. He was active in athletics, and in the music department of school dur­ing his high school career. He then attended Iowa State College at Cedar Rapids, where he was awarded his Master of Arts Degree. Following this he taught schools in Blairstown for two years, at Waucoma for seven years, and Walnut for the past two years. He had recently moved to Graettinger to be High School Principal there for the coming year, a posi­tion he had held both at Waucoma and Walnut. At the time of his death he was visiting at the home of his parents in Hartley.

He was married to Becky Beld-ing on August 22, 1954 at the Waucoma Federated Church, the Rev. Jimmie D. Thames, officiat­ing. They became parents, by adoption, of two children, Mary Eileen, now three years old, and Paul Thomas, nine months.

He had been a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ of Hartley, but had faithfully attended other churches wherever his career took him. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Morre Lodge No. 559 and of the Order of Eastern Star Mignon Chapter No. 186, both of Walnut, Iowa. He was a member of the National Education Association, the Iowa State Education Associa­tion, the National Association of Secondary School Principals and Iowa Association of Secondary School Principals, also of county and local affiliated teachers or­ganizations.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife and children, his parents, a sister, Ruby, Mrs. Herman Hofmeyer of Spencer, two nephews and a niece, Terry, Denny, and Patty Hofmeyer, his grandfather, Fred Adolph Sr., of Hartley, as well as several aunts and uncles, other relatives and a host of fri­ends.

Services were held in the Trini­ty United Church of Christ on Monday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. R. G. Beck officiating. Pall­bearers were Edwin Smith, Del-mar Hofmeier, Melvin Lane, Del-bert Schwien, James Hollowell, and Richard Munster. Masonic Rites were conducted by Beacon Lodge No. 495. Burial was made in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hart­ley, under the direction of the Baumgarten Funeral Home.

Leland James Belding, II, was born on 26 December 1937 in Annapolis, Anne Arundel, Maryland.2,3 He died on 3 March 2005, at age 67, in Iowa City, Johnson, Iowa.3 He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Coralville, Johnson, lowa.
U.S. Air Force- 1955-1959.3 Leland James Belding, II, was a Hospitality Business/ Owner Charlie's Bar and Grill.1 Former University of Iowa gymnast and Coralville businessman, Leland J. Belding II, returned to his creator on March 3, 2005.

He was born Dec. 26, 1937, in Annapolis, Md., to Dr. Leland J. Belding, Lt. U.S. Navy, and Cosette Campbell.

Leland was a graduate of Storm Lake High School and the University of Iowa. For enjoyment he attended Kirkwood Community College Culinary Arts program. Leland was a soldier of the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959.

Leland married Carol Slach of West Branch in 1965 and was blessed with one son, Leland.

Leland spent his business life in the hospitality industry managing Iowa City's landmarks The Airliner in the early 1960s and later managed the infamous Lil' Bill's Bar. He coached gymnastics and continued to work in the hospitality business until 1983 when he and his wife opened Charlie's Bar & Grill located in Coralville.

James Parker Clark was born on 28 September 1901 in Ogden, Boone, Iowa.2 He and Arlene Frances Belding were married on 12 July 1930 in Waucoma, Fayette, Iowa.1 He was married on 29 November 1945 in Fairmont, Martin, Minnesota.1 He and Arlene Frances Belding were divorced on 10 April 1986 in Citrus County, Florida. He died on 19 July 1981, at age 79, in Estherville, Emmet, Iowa.2 He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville, Emmet, Iowa.2
James Parker Clark was a Doctor.1 U.S. Army Medical Corp-WWII- 1942-1945.1 James Clark was the son of Dr. Charles and Mary McFarland Clark. He attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa and received his M.D. from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He served on the Department of Surgery at the University Hospitals from 1925 until 1931. On July 12, 1930 he was united in marriage to Arlene Belding at Waucoma, Iowa. They came to Estherville in 1932 where Dr Clark practiced medicine until he entered the United States Army Medical Corp where he served in the European theatre from 1942 until 1945. He earned the rank of Major and was an Assistant Chief of Surgery while in the armed forces. He returned to Estherville after his service and was married to Josie Biederman Smillie on November 30, 1945 in Estherville. He continued to practice medicine until he retired in 1962. Dr Clark was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He served on City Councilman from 1964 to 1965 and was Mayor of Estherville, from 1966 until 1970.He received the Citizen of the Year Award presented by the Chamber of Commerce in 1979. He played a prominent part in many civic and community affairs. During his tenure as an Estherville physician, he had served as Chief of Staff at the hospital and held other staff positions.
