Josephine H. Bartow was born on 29 November 1880 in Hope Township, Warren, New Jersey.1 She and George Ezra Pool, Jr., were married in 1899.2 She died on 28 March 1949, at age 68.3 She was buried in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, Warren, New Jersey.3

Mrs.Josephine H.Pool,68,wife of George E.Pool,of 517 West Plane street,Hackettstown,died last night at her home,after a long illness.She was born in Hope Township,Warren County,a daughter of the late Johnson and Savilla Cummins Bartow.Surviving are her husband;a daughter,Mrs.Raymond Gulick.of Hackettstown;one grandson;a sister.Mrs.Nellie Smith,of Easton;two half sisters,Mrs.Steward Beltd,of Merrit,Fla.,and Mrs.Manning Miller,of Laurence Harbor,and three brothers,Clark Bartow,of Phillipsburg;Charles Bartow,of Brainards,and Lemuel Bartow,of Miami,Fla.Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m.at the residence.The Rev.Chester A.Pennington,D.D.,pastor of Trinity Methodist Church,Hackettstown will officiate.Interment will be in Pequest Union cemetery,Great Meadows.
