William Henry Daws was born on 11 August 1848 in Jefferson County, New York.¹ He and Emma Lanterman were married on 16 February 1871. He was married on 1 February 1900.¹ He died on 5 July 1937, at age 88, in Lena, Stephenson, Illinois.¹ He was buried in Lena Burial Park, Lena, Stephenson, Illinois.¹

Henry Schlachter was born on 24 January 1870 in Kent, Stephenson, Illinois.¹ He and Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Daws were married on 9 August 1893 in Lena, Stephenson, Illinois.¹ He died on 29 December 1943, at age 73, in Kent, Stephenson, Illinois.¹ He was buried in Lena Burial Park (Block 12, Lot 18), Lena, Stephenson, Illinois.¹

Esther Marie Schlachter was born on 29 March 1899 in Stephenson County, Illinois. She and Harry Altenbern were married on 24 July 1926 in Illinois.¹ She died on 11 March 1976, at age 76, in Lena, Stephenson, Illinois. She was buried in Lena Burial Park (Block 9, Lot 52), Lena, Stephenson, Illinois.

Mrs. Harry (Esther) Altenbern of Lena, a member of Lena American Legion Auxiliary, died this morning at home.

Born March 29, 1899, in West Point Township, Stephenson County, she was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Daws) Schlachter. She was married to Harry Altenbern June 24, 1926, at Oregon. He died in 1955.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Ruth M. Ericksen of Blanchardville, Wis. A brother and a sister also preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Leamon Funeral Home here. The Rev, Joe Summers, pastor of Lena United Methodist Church, willl officiate. Burial will be in Lena Burial Park.

Harry Altenbern was born on 23 June 1890 in Stephenson County, Illinois.¹ He and Esther Marie Schlachter were married on 24 July 1926 in Illinois.¹ He died on 1 December 1955, at age 65, in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.¹ He was buried in Lena Burial Park (Block 9, Lot 52), Lena, Stephenson, Illinois.¹
