George McCrane Bartow was born on 8 October 1866 in Marksboro, Warren, New Jersey.1 He and Annie S. Received his education at the Lincoln high school, Oskaloosa, Iowa. From 1883 to 1893 he was employed by the United States Express Company at that place and at Keokuk, Iowa. After these ten years of service he returned to his native state and from 1894 to 1910 was engaged in farming at Bridgeville, New Jersey. In the latter year he became a general agent for the Central Railroad of New Jersey, and has since filled this responsible position in the most thorough manner, satisfactory alike to the company and the traveling public. Member of the Methdist Episcopal Church.
