She was born on November 15, 1924 in Lansing the daughter of Walter and Zarepha (Bartow) Springborg. She married Homer Sessions in 1949. He passed away in 2010. Alice was a school teacher, homemaker and lifelong landlord. She was able to register their longtime family home as a state historic home in Lansing.

Surviving Alice are her children Janet (Lee) Metzelaar of Haslett, Rick (Sheri) Sessions of Omaha, Nebraska, Dawn Penland of Longmont, Colorado; grandchildren Scott (Shelley) Sessions of Omaha, NE, Steven (Becky) Sessions of Omaha, NE; great grandchildren Nick, Micah, Jacob, Trinity, Hailey and Ellie; sisters Jean (John) Lockwood, Dorothy Gabaig and Bethany Gill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer, brother Gordon and son Robert.

A celebration of life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Lansing on Saturday, April 28th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Stanley Jenkins officiating.
