Bob was born Sept, 11, 1962, in Paradise, Calif., to J. Richard "Dick" and Maurine Cain. Bob graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in May 1980, Texas A&M University in May 1985 with a bachelor of science in civil engineering and the University of Texas at Arlington in May 1994 with a master of environmental engineering.
After college, Bob worked iniatially as a project engineer on several Dallas-Fort Worth area civil construction projects. He was employed by TXI as a senior environmental engineer from 1991 to 2002. He moved to Whitesboro from Roaoke in 2002.
Bob was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Texas Aggregate and Concrete Association for which he was chairman of the environmental committee. He was also a member of the Sports Car Club of America and was an SCCA-certified race car driver and instructor member of the Texas SRX7 Club and North Texas Viper Club and was past president of the Cowtown Mopar Performance team.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur D. and Barbara Cain, and natural grandfather, Albert H. Reineke.
Survivors: Parents, J. Richard "Dick" and Maurine Cain of Whitesboro; wife. Dayna Caldwell of Roanoke, daughter, Jacqueline Paige Cain of Roanoke, sisters, Tammy Hawkins of Columbia, Mo., and Karen Cain of Plano; and maternal grandmother, Maxine Holman of Modesto, Calif.
