Age 90, died Monday, March 18, 2002. Born April 14, 1911 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Roy and Nellie (Gillette) Hoag. Mrs. Rathbun was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eaton Rapids Senior Citizens and the Rocking Chair Deserters, and the Rebekah Sunshine Lodge #142 in Eaton Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murville in 1998 and son Kenneth in 1993. Surviving are four children, Keith (Mary) Rathbun, Jan (Kathy) Rathbun, and Cindy Dale, alll of Eaton Rapids, Patricia Rathbun of Charlotte; sister-in-law Olive Rathbun of Eaton Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Fern Conklin and June Serwack, both of Eaton Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 23, 2002 at 11 AM from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids, with the Rev. Tom Evans of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Eaton Rapids. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
