In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Wilbert of New Hampshire, Robert of Vernon, and Douglas of Lexington, Ky., daughter Cindy Bauman of Michigan, brother, Albert of Texas. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Predeceased by son Edward (1974). Funeral Service Monday 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church, Manning Ave., Butler. Friends please meet at church. Funeral Services for Edward Diggles, 13, of 24 Derrygally Circle, who died Friday after falling into Lake Rickabear while on his daily newspaper route, will be Friday, 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, Butler, with the Rev. Nelson Kenyon, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Pompton Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Lakes. Arrangements by the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Tpke., Riverdale.

Born in Paterson, Edward was a lifelong borough resident. An eighth grade student at Kinnelson Junior High School, he was active in the borough recreational league and was a member of the Kinnelon All-Star Little League team, where he was elected its most valuable player. Edward was also active in the Royal Rangers of the Assembly of God Church and was elected Ranger of the Year in 1973.

Surviving are his parents, William and Ann Snover Diggles; two brothers, Robert and Douglas and a sister, Cindy, all at home; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Snover of Kinnelon and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Diggles of Haledon.
