Mary Ann Stewart was born on 15 February 1938 in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.² She was married on 12 November 1972.³ She died on 30 March 2009, at age 71, in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.² She was buried in Mound Grove Cemetery, Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.

Mary Ann Stewart was a Secretary-Fire Department Chiel. Mary was born the daughter of Leslie and Carol Lucille McNeal Stewart. She married her first husband, LeRoy LaCost, on June 5, 1958. She later married Harry S. Christopher on Nov. 12, 1972. He died Nov. 13, 2005. Mrs. Christopher was a retired secretary from the fire chief's office in Kankakee. She was a member of the Illinois Fire Chiefs Secretary Association for more than 20 years, St. Elizabeth's Guild, the Girls Friendly Society and a former member of the choir at her church. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose, the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was an active volunteer at the annual Greek picnic. She enjoyed baking, especially her rum cake.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Michael Doyle of Kankakee, Cheryl LaCost and John Barrett of Park Ridge; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, and Caitlin Doyle, and Kira and Mica Barrett; two sisters, Carol Kubick of Kankakee and Ruth Cazel of Eureka, Calif.; one brother, Bill Stewart of Burnham; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; godson, Steven Bartzis; and her ManorCare family.
Deceased are her parents and one brother, Leslie Stewart Jr.
