2 Jeanette, 85, of Mason formerly of Eaton Rapids, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. She was born to Arthur and Murryne (Hayhoe) Communal.
Jeanette enjoyed quilting and started Calico Cupboard out of the basement of her home. She moved the business to Mason where she operated for several years.
Afterwards she went to work for the Michigan Athletic Club where she took care of the women’s locker room. When the Ronald McDonald House was first opened in Lansing she lived on site for a couple of years and worked at the house. Jeanette enjoyed doing fundraiser walks and raising money for charities.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William Thayer; infant son, William and infant daughter, Mary Jane.
Surviving are her four daughters, Diana Zimmer, Connie (Larry) Hartwick, Shelia (Gary) Raymond, Billie (Steve) Wallen of North Dakota; 6 grand children; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Jackie (Gary) Pierce as well as many more extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation was held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel.
