Mary Sue Hebert of Elgin
Mary Sue Hebert, 75, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, in her home. She was born Oct. 14,1937, in Wheeler, WI, the daughter of Lawrence and Buelah Flannigan Otting. She had been a resident of Elgin for the past 48 years. She worked for School District U-46 at the developmental pre-school as a secretary before retiring. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. Surviving are her five children, Steve Hebert of Elgin, Mark (Elizabeth) Hebert of Warrenville, Bob (Laurie) Hebert of Lake City, MN, Beth (Ed) Kinney of Elgin and Ed Hebert of Montgomery, IL; and 12 grandchildren, Erin, Ashley, Tiffany, Kelsey, Luke. Maeson, Jackie, Sarah, Danny, Payton, Madden and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phil in 1991; two brothers, Laverne and Leon Otting; and a grandson. Tony Hebert. A funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St. (Route 31), Elgin. Memorials may be given to Parkinson's Disease Research.
