Mehitable (Hettie) Goodenough was born on 26 March 1842 in New York.1,3,4 She and Joseph Goachee, Sr., were married about 1856.3 She died on 1 June 1933, at age 91, in Napoleon, Henry, Ohio.5,4 She was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Napoleon, Henry, Ohio.4
Mehitable (Hettie) Goodenough was a Nurse in Civil War Veteran.6 1900 Ohio Census shows Joseph and Hettie Goodenough Goachee had 7 children, 6 living. Also living with Joseph and Hettie are grandsons, Gusta Patrick , B. 2/1881, Joseph U., b. 4/1892, and Clarence M., b. 4/1895.

1910 Ohio Census has another grandaughter living with Hettie, Vivian, b. Abt. 1904 in Michigan, along with grandsons, Joseph and Clarence.

Was a nurse in the Civil War. Kept pieces of silverware that General Grant used when he came thru camp.
