KELSEY, Ronald Dean - Of Flint, age 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Mayfair Bible Church, 5339 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing; Rev. Dean Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mayfair Bible Church. Ronald was born in Flint, MI on December 5, 1937, son of the late Verne and Dora (Kennedy) Kelsey. He married Elaine Ann Moore on August 2, 1957 and they were married almost 53 years. Ronald was a member of Mayfair Bible Church. He was co-owner of Kelsey Security Systems from 1981 to 1987. Ronald was Vice President of K&K Subway from 1988 to present. He served on the school board of Flint Christian School and coached boys basketball from 1965 - 1980. He was assistant girls basketball coach at Kearsley High School from 1975 - 1977 and a basketball referee in Genesee County for several years. In 1956, Ronald worked for Western Electric, transferring to Michigan Bell and then retiring in 1994 from AT& T. He enjoyed fishing in the UP with friends. He also hunted in his younger years but of late, he became an avid bird and animal watcher. Ronald had a kind and compassionate heart for all of God's creatures, animal and human. Ronald is survived by his wife, Elaine; children, David (Shari Hutchins) Kelsey of Ann Arbor, Bethany (Thomas) Bondy of South Rockwood; grandchildren, Amanda Kelsey (Casey) Cole, Alyssa Kelsey, Kelsey, Lukas and Zakary Bondy; great-grandson, Noah Andrew Bondy; brothers, R.C. Kelsey and R.G. Kelsey. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Duane Kelsey, Lewis Kelsey; sisters, Irene Goff and Leleah Chapman.
