Obituary
Rose Marie Fullmer, 88, a former Blackfoot resident, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Legacy Village in Taylorsville, Utah.
Rose Marie was born March 26, 1926 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Theodore and Marion Adams Parsons. She attended school and received a GED after which she attended some college. During her lifetime Rose Marie has lived in Blackfoot, Idaho; Afton, Wyo.; South Jordan and Taylorsville, Utah.
On Feb. 13, 1944 she married Darcel Fullmer in Dillon, Mont. Darcel preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1968.
Rose Marie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various positions, including Primary teacher. She worked as a secretary for Bingham County Weed Control and later became the dispatcher and records clerk for the Blackfoot Police Department, where she made many lasting friendships. She was a member of The Red Hat Club, Elks, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and The Girls Birthday Club. She enjoyed socializing with friends and making new friends.
Rose Marie was the best grandma and great-grandma and loved times spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved making porcelain dolls, crocheting, gardening and quilting. Mom has been a survivor and is now with Dad, taking a long car ride.
She is survived by her children: Ted (Connie) Fullmer, of Mesa, Ariz.;, Connie (Layne) Young, of West Jordan, Utah; Carol (Larry) Reader, of Florida; brother Lorin Parsons, of Oceanside, Calif.; sisters, Thea Jorgensen of Dunnellon, Fla; Leta Jones, of John Day, Ore,; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a very dear friend, Harold Hartwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darcel; her parents and sister, Adrienne.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Groveland Cemetery.
