Francis Ferdinand (Fran) Hodges was born on 18 June 1927 in Flint, Genesee, Michigan.1,2 He died on 31 March 1995, at age 67, in Flint, Genesee, Michigan.2
Francis Ferdinand (Fran) Hodges was a Salesman in Schafer Bakery-Flint, Genesee, Michigan.3 Hodges, Francis F. (Franny)- Of Grand Blanc, age 67, died Friday, March 31, 1995 at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM Tuesday, April 4, 1995 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 Bristol Rd., Burton, Father Vincent A. DeLorenzo officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Sisters of St. Joseph. Visitation 12 Noon-9PM Sunday, 12-4 and 6-9PM Monday at the funeral home. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Hodges was born in Flint, Michigan on June 18, 1927 and was a resident of Flint all of his life. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Mr Hodges was a varsity line coach at St. Matthew's for 9 years, and at Holy Redeemer for 9 years where he also coached golf and softball. He also coached at Holy Rosary. He was employed as a salesman at Schafer Bakery in Flint for 42 years, retiring in 1990. Surviving are his wife, Marlene; 5 sisters-in-law, Leona Hodges, Marietta Hodges, both of Flint, Alice Hodges of Lakeview, Stella Holbeck of Otisville, Judy and husband Ron Worley of Mt. Morris; brother-in-law, Art and wife Barbara Norman of Davison; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his six brothers, Leland, Mike, Leroy, Leo, Chris and Bill.
