Obituaries
SIVYER, Maureen Gloria - peacefully at the Caressant Care, Mary Buck, St. Thomas, on Thursday, October 16th, 2014, in her 75th year. Maureen w as born in Hamilton, on April 11th, 1940.
Dearly loved mother of Lisa Brown and John Sivyer, both of London.
Maureen was predeceased by her husband Ross Sivyer in 1972, also predec eased by her father Robert James Ford (1964) and mother Stella (2009).
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved sister of Tony Ford of Kelowna, B.C, and Roberta (Jon ) Hall of London.
In her younger years Maureen was a telephone operator with Aylmer Malahide Telephone Office and was also a waitress for many years. She also worked at McConnell Nurseries for a few years prior to moving to St. Thomas. Maureen had many friends and was very dedicated to all of them.
Special thanks to Helen Jones for being Maureen’s Guardian Angel and for always being there for her. Special thanks to Dr. Derek Vaughan and staff for many years of caring for Maureen. Your kindness will always be remembered. The family would also like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Caressant Care Mary Bucke for watching over Maureen. Special thanks to Kori and Catherine for your support and for all our talks during Maureen’s stay. Maureen was suffering with dementia which had rapidly progressed during the past 2 years.
WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas is in charge of funeral arrangements. There will be no public funeral service. Cremation, with interment in Eden Cemetery at a later date. 12852342.
