Alexander (Sandy) Agnew was born on 14 March 1924 in Yakima, Yakima, Washington.2,3,4 He and Lola May Cable were married on 9 November 1946 in Yakima County, Washington.1 He was divorced on 17 January 1966 in Lane County, Oregon.5 He was married on 2 April 1966 in Carson City, Carson, Nevada.4 He died on 4 December 2005, at age 81, in Creswell, Lane, Oregon.3,64,7
Alexander (Sandy) Agnew was in Wildish Sand and Gravel.4 CRESWELL - Sandy Agnew of Creswell died Dec. 4 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 81.

He was born March 14, 1924, in Yakima, Wash., to Robert and Mary Jane Langell Agnew. He was educated in Yakima schools and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1941. He served during World War II in the South Pacific and was a prisoner of war. He joined the reserves and served during the Korean War.

Agnew worked at Parson's Sand and Gravel for 10 years and at Wildish Sand and Gravel for 40 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He enjoyed boating, camping, deer hunting and fishing and visiting in Yakima.

Survivors include three daughters, Kate Christensen of Creswell, Vickie Ayotte of Orlando, Fla., and Becky DeLancy of Port Orchard, Wash.; two sons, Joe of Washington and Terry of Bremerton, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. His wife, Helen Harlan Agnew, died in 2002, and a son, Robert "Bobby" Downes II, died previously.
