Marjorie A. (Lang) Wintemute, 75 of Lake City, went to be with the Lord following a brief illness, while holding her husband's hand.
She was born December 6, 1939 in Keepville, Pa, a daughter of the late Fredrick and Sophie (LaVelle) Lang. Marjorie was raised and educated in the Edinboro area, graduating from the Edinboro Area High School in 1957.
She enjoyed crafting, polka music and dancing, puzzles, flowers, chocolate, and strawberries. She loved watching birds with her husband on their patio and listening to Elvis Presley's music. The pride and joy of her life was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adolph and Rosella Lang and Andy and Carrie LaVelle; and her two brothers, Frederick "JR" Lang, and Robert Lang; her brother-in-law, George Rendulic; and her best friend Jeannie Samples.
Marjorie will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her husband, George R. Wintemute, whom she married June 10, 1967 in Lake City; also by a daughter, Victoria L. Wintemute (Eric Kimmy) of Cranesville; a son, William L. Wintemute (Kelly) of Cory; her beautiful grandaughter, Rayanne Kimmy; her precious grandson, Owen Wintemute; her sisters, Frances Rendulic of Albion and Caroline Rindo (Robert) of Batavia, N.Y.; sisters-in-law, Betty Lang of Albion and Barbara Lang of Tecumseh, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews.
No calling hours or services will be observed. Memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Donation Processing Center, 7 Mill Brook Rd., Wilton, NH 03086. Funewral arrangements are under the direction of Edder Funeral Home Inc., Girard.
