Robert was reared and educated in Detroit, having attended Wayne State University. He enlisted in the Air Force at the onset of WWII, becoming a Multi-Engine Combat Cargo Pilot, serving in the China, Burma, India Theatre. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for flying heavily loaded, unarmed aircraft hundreds of hours and missions into enemy territory re-supplying ground forces. After the war, he entered the retail grocery business in Detroit, for 13 years and then was employed by the City of Detroit General Hospital, in administrative capacity, until retirement in 1980.
Ernestine (Teen) Marie Jones-Stoutenburg was born November 7, 1921, in Thayer, Missouri, the first of three children to Fred H. and Archie Valera Arnold-Jones. Her father was an Insulating Engineer in the oil refinery industry and his employment required the family to live in various parts of the country: Sapulpa, OK; Wichital Falls, TX; Florence, CO; and Glenrock, WY. Upon graduation from high school as Valedictorian of her class in Glenrock, she received a scholarship to the Grand Island Business College, Grand Island, Nebraska. On completion of her secretarial training, she was employed by the War Department at the Casper Army Air Base, 1942-1943, as Court Reporter for the Legal Boards and Claims Division. She also served as USO hostess in the Casper, Wyoming USO. It was there she met Robert Stoutenburg.
Bob and Teen were married on March 21, 1943, at the base chapel in Casper. Teen accompanied Bob through his entire flight-training program, always securing employment in the legal field at the many Air Force bases where they were stationed. When Bob was ordered to foreign duty, Teen returned to live with her parents in Glenrock, Wyoming. Their first daughter, Linda, was born in Casper in 1945. After WWII the family moved to Bob's home city of Detroit for employment. Gary and Connie were born there in 1948 and 1951. In 1981 Bob and Teen discovered, and fell in love with, the Cache Valley and moved here that fall to enjoy their retirement years and many friends they have met here.
They are survived by, and their memory cherished by, their children: Linda Williams of Waukee, Iowa; Gary and Suzanne of Bishop, California; and Connie Kreiter of Billings, Montana. Also Bob's sister, Irene Linville of Lady Lake, Florida and Teen's sister Mary Louise Jahncke of Kirwood, Missouri. Also 6 granddaughters; 5 great grandchildren; and many extended family members survive them. They were preceded in death by their parents, Bob's siblings: Elton, Ruth and Clayton; and Teen's brother, William.
Their eternal resting place together is the Smithfield Cemetery, with arrangements made by Nelson Funeral Home. There will be a private service, with immediate family in attendance. An open house, in their honor, will be held at their residence on a date in the near future. In their memory, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society, Alzheimer Disease Research or your favorite charitable organization.

Neda Mae McCormick

Biography
Neda Mae McCormick was born on 23 December 1923 in Steubenville, Jefferson, Ohio.
1 She died on 21 January 2011, at age 87, in Killen, Lauderdale, Alabama.
1 From The Wayne County News - 2/2/2011
Neda Badour, a native of Steubenville, Ohio, came to the Assisted Living some three years ago. As usual, we accepted her into our family. She was loved and respected by all of us here. At the time, she was in the first stages of Alzheimer's. As she grew older, her condition deteriorated and at times would go back to her childhood when she was young and would go out for the evening to dance, not having a care in the world.
She was a high maintenance woman. She loved her fingernails polished, jewelry on, and her hair fixed. But then, it happened one day, when Neda fell and was taken to the nursing home where she died.
One day when we were having singing and music, Joe Donegan, who likes to dance, invited Neda to dance with him. Even though she walked with a a rolader, she accepted Joe's hand and they danced a whole song. She was so happy. And as she thanked Joe, she immediately turned into a beautiful, blushing, young lady. This was Neda's memorial. We might say "SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME SWEETHEART."
