Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away at his home Sunday, September 12, 2010 with his wife at his side. Age 70 years. Son of the late Eldon and M. Elizabeth (Clement) Davison, Gale was born December 13, 1939 in Alma, Michigan. He graduated from Alma High School in 1958. He played on the Alma High School Varsity Football Team and was also a member of the Championship Team of 1956. He graduated from Delta College in 1970. Gale was married to M. Jacquelyn Fales from 1960 to 1966. He then married Mary L. (Kullman) Priest in 1971. Gale was employed at Lobdell Emery from 1960 to 1966, then at Delphi Chassis from 1966 until his retirement in 1997. He later worked part time for Powell Fabrication in St. Louis, MI until 2008. Gale enjoyed drag racing, softball, bowling, riding his motor cycle, golfing, hunting, and competitive shooting. Gale is survived by his wife Mary; son John Davison of Tampa, FL and his son Bruce of Williamston, MI; a daughter, Julie (Larry) Turner of Alma, MI and their daughters, Jacquelyn Beth Turner of Alma, MI, Kristy (Neil) Gray of Grand Haven, MI and their daughters Anna and Taylor, Michelle (Travis) Douglas of Whitehall, MI and their children Tyler and Jenna; three step- sons and one step-daughter, Don (Sue) Priest of Alma, MI and their sons Trent of Alma, MI and Bryant of Traverse City, MI; Robert Priest of Boise, ID and his daughters Katie and Keliann; Richard (Lisa) Priest of Alma, MI and their children Derek and Hallie; Cheryl ( Kevin) Mohland of Saginaw, MI and their son Ryan; his brother Larry (Paige) Davison of Grant, MI; six brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. Gale was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. Honoring Mr. Davisons wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 5:00 pm on Monday, September 20, 2010 at East Superior Christian Church, 605 E. Superior St, Alma, MI with Dr. James L. Amstutz officiating. Mr. Davison wished, in lieu of flowers, that memorial contribution be made to East Superior Christian Church Building Fund, Sparrow Regional Medical Supply in Alma, MI, Mid-Michigan Home Care and Hospice in Alma, MI, or Gratiot County Commission on Aging.
