Passed away on June 11, 2011 in Santa Rosa. Devoted husband of the late Joyce Cochran. Cherished father of John A. Cochran of San Ysidro, William R. Cochran of Yorkville, Ruth Maxwell of Santa Rosa, and Linda Ramsey of NC. Loving brother of Anita Sano of Las Vegas and the late Chester Cochran. Survived by numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great- great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Age: 90 Years Jerre was born in Kansas, but as the child of missionaries, grew up around the US. During World War II, he enlisted in the US Army and dutifully served his country. Having settled in CA, he met and married Joyce on Sept. 6, 1946 and together they enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Jerre worked as a tile setter and carpet layer for 37 years for Sunset Flooring in S. San Francisco, finally retiring in 1984. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the ocean and camping, most fondly to Yosemite and traveling with his trailer to Alaska. At Jerre's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sutter VNA and Hospice, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
