Peacefully at the Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg, on Saturday November 15 2003. Olive Mildred Rice, of Tillsonburg in her 90th year. Dear daughter of the late William Jacob Neff and the former late Susan Jane Noels. Born in Bayham Township on November 27 1913. Retired seamstress at Tillsonburg Hospital, after sixteen years of employment. Member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Tillsonburg and former member of North Bayham United Church and U.C.S. predeceased by her husband George Rice (1965). Dear mother and mother -in -law of Margaret (Peggy) Hammond of Red Oak Park and the late Harvey Hammond (1997), Patricia and Richard Holman Brownsville, Garfield Rice, Sundridge a daughter -in-law Alma Rice, Alliston. Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 16 ggrandchildren. Predeceased by 3 brothers Orr (1958) Ova (1957) and Err (1975) and 4 sisters Minnie (1943) Iva (1936), Ethel (1997) and Eva (1999) and a granddaughter baby Rice (1968) Resting at the Verhoeve Funeral Home, 262 Broadway St., Tillsonburg, where service will be held in the chapel, on Monday November 17 2003 at 1:30pm by Reverend Robert Shaw of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Tillsonburg. Interment in Delmer Cemetery. Donations to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or your choice. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

HAZEL LOUISE WOOD

A funeral for Hazel Louise Wood, 80 of Metcalfe Gardens, St. Thomas, a former Canadian Tire store employee, formerly of R.R.#6 Aylmer, was held Tuesday May 27, 1997. She died at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday May 25, 1997. Mrs. Wood was born in Malahide Township April 11, 1917 to the late William and Nancy Jane (Dennis) Smithson. She lived at R.R.#6 Aylmer for several years and worked at the Canadian Tire store for 16 years. She is survived by a son William G. Wood and wife Carol of St. Thomas; Grandchildren, Matthew Chute of London, Lisa Deakin of St. Thomas, Michael Wood of Freeport, Bahamas; and a great-grandchild Amanda Deakin. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Patrick Wood in 1964, a daughter Margaret Joy Faulkner in 1983. The Rev. Norman Jones of St. Paul's United Church conducted the service at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home with burial in Luton Cemetery.
