Alfred H. Reid, Sr. of Caro died Saturday, July 4, 19081 at Caro Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 79. He was born February 13, 1902 in Wisner Township and was a lifelong Tuscola county resident. He married the former Pearl Neal on March 26, 1942 in Bay City. He was a retired employee of the Caro State Hospital and also worked locally as an interior and exterior painter-decorator. He was a member of Mount Moriah Lodge #226 of the Free and Accepted Masons and received his life membership in that group in December.

He is survived by his wife, five sons, Alfred Reid of Milford, Arnet Reid, Donald Reid, Phillip Reid, and Duane Reid, all of Caro; two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Maxine) Gale of Rochester and Mrs. Leo 9Marge) Fox of Caro; six sisters, Mrs. Hazel Buzzard of Reese, Mrs. Eva Overcashier of Pontiac, Mrs. Harold (Goldie) Hunt of Florida, Faye Reid of Vasssr, Mrs. John (Genevieve) Kirk of Fairgrove and Mrs. Ilah O’Kon of Detroit; 12 grandchildren, four grat-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One sister and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were Monday at Collon Funeral Home of Caro with Chaplain Geraldl Thorp of the mount Moriah Lodge officiating. Burial will be in the Wisner Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Caro Community Hospital.

Phillip L. Reid was Building Supervisor in Caro Regional Center.2 Phillip, 80, of Caro, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at his home, following a lingering illness. He was the son of the late Alfred H. and Pearl H. (Neal) Reid, and was a lifelong area resident.

He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1951. Phil served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Following his discharge from the Navy, he was employed at the Caro Regional Center for many years, ending as the grounds Building Supervisor.

Phil grew up in the Baptist faith. He was a life member and past commander of the Caro VFW Post #4164, the Caro Moose Lodge, the Caro Eagles Club, and a former member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #226.

Phil is survived by one sister, Maxine Gale of Shelby Township; three sisters-in-law, Elaine Reid and Ruby Reid, both of Caro, and Barbara Reid of Milford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marge Fox; and four brothers, Duane, Arnet, Alfred, Jr. and Donald Reid.

Funeral services took place on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Ronald Wigand officiating. Military Honors were provided by the Caro VFW Post #4164 and the U.S. Navy.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Leo Clifford Fox was a Maintenance Supervisor in Caro Regional Center.1 Leo C. Fox, age 84 years, of Caro, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born on July 27, 1922 in Saginaw to the late Joseph and Alice M. (Milne) Fox.

Leo "Cliff" Fox married the former Marjorie Reid on September 4, 1945 in Caro. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2005. Cliff attended Cass City High School, and joined the U.S. Army serving during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He had been employed at the Caro Regional Center for thirty-one years as a Maintenance Supervisor, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church, Mt. Moriah Lodge #226 F&AM and Caro V.F.W. Post #4164. Cliff enjoyed taking long walks, playing euchre, and relaxing in his easy chair and watching TV, especially sports like the Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers. He loved animals, both cats and dogs. CC and Max were his dogs.

Cliff is survived by one son, two daughters and their spouses, Patrick C. Fox of Caro, Cindy (Michael) Brinkman of Caro, and Alice (Ted) Habdas of Caro; three grandchildren, Dawn Fox, Kimberly (Tony) Delibero and Benjamin Habdas; two brother and two sisters.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday, September 17, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be no service at the funeral home.

In keeping with Cliff's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Cass River Pet Friendz or the American Cancer Society.

Died suddenly Wednesday, July 27, 1994 at Caro Community Hospital. He was 59. He was born on October 9, 1934 in Gilford Township. He married the former Elaine Marie Sojau (Soy-Ott) on September 30, 1967 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was a U.S. navy veteran and also retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 21 years of service, including three tours in Vietnam. After returning to caro he was employed at Caro Regional Center where he retired in 1992. He was a former chaplain and current commander of the Caro VFW Post # 4164, 1988-89 VFW All-State Commander of Michigan, former National Aide-DeCamp from national through VFW Department of Michigan, a member of Theron Atwood American Legion Post # 7, Mt. Moriah Lodge # 226 F & AM past Worthy Patron of Kedron Chapter #33 Order of Eastern Star, member of Retired Enlisted Association, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Caro Aerie #3587, and Caro Moose Lodge. He was the recipient of many award including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service medal and Vietnam Service Medal.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Duane Reid, Jr. and his wife, Lori Marie of Fairchild AFB, Spokane, Washington; one granddaughter, Kenna Reid; 6 brothers and sisters, Marge Fox and husband Leo of Caro, Alfred Reid, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Milford, Arnet Reid of Caro, Maxine Gale and husband, Ted of Rochester, Donald Reid and wife, Ruby of Caro, Philip Reid of Caro; many nieces nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Pearl Reid.

Funeral services were held on July 31 from the Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Bell officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery with military graveside services under the auspices of Caro VFW Post #4164 and Theron Atwood American legion Post #7. Memorials may be made to the VFW, Department of Michigan. Arrangements were made by the Collon Funeral Home in Caro.

Burial will be in Wisner Cemetery with military graveside services under the auspices of Caro VFW Post #4164. Friends may call at the Collon Funeral Home after 7 pm today (Wednesday). There will be a VFW memorial service at 7 pm on Thursday at the Collon Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Caro Community Hospital Endowment Foundation.

He is survived by his wife Erma who he married on February 24, 1938 in Bay City; his children: Erma Jean (Donald) Harlow of Saginaw, Joyce (Donal ) Wetters of Bay City and Carol (William) Wetters of Belmont; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. He was predeceded in death by four sisters; three brothers; and a great granddaughter Sarah Wetters.

The Funeral Service will be at 11:000 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2001 in the First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Marc Meulman will officiate with burial in Wisner Township Cemetery. She was 87 years old. She was born in Gilford Twp. on Novemver 12, 1916 to the late John and Thelma (Fisk) Densmore. She is a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are 3 daughters: Erma Jean (Donald) Harlow, Joyce (Donal) Wetters and Carol (Bill) Wetters: 8grandchildren; Brooke (Todd) Chatman, Aaron (Dina) Wetters, Todd (Anne) Wetters, Mark (Shauna) Wetters, Trica (Chad) Dana, LeAnn (David) Hadley, Paul (Sally) Wetters and Greg (Amber) Harlow; 19 great grandchilden and her siblings: Marion (Tom) Busch, Harry Densmore, Ruth (Elmer) Gerish, James (Verena) Densmore, Jack (Jeanie) Densmore, Belle (Milton) Felske, Faith (Jack) Austin andnLois (Bob) Beach and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Sevice will be Friday at 11 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 1759 W. Youngsditch Rd. Pastor Robert Rhodabarger will officiate. Burial will be at Wisner Twp. Cemetery, Memorial tributes may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
