Mountain Home - Thomas "Tom" Joseph Kemmerer, age 79, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 1, 2019.
Tom was born to Harry Jonathon and Arlie Emma Strawn Kemmerer on July 2 7, 1939 in Oelwein, Iowa. He was married to Georgia Ann Franz of Independence, Iowa, in 1963. They relocated their family to Mountain Home in 1978 and shared 46 beautiful years of marriage. Tom built a reputation in the area for honesty and integrity as a car salesman. He never knew a stranger. He was a dedicated family man, as well as an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. Many years he was a respected member of the local Walleye Club. He was passionate about wildlife, conservation and Arkansas natural resources. He proudly passed his legacy and values down to his daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his three daughters; Kelly Shipley (Springfield, MO) , Kristin Knight (Lafayette, LA), and Kari Novak (Yellville, AR); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Gene Kemmerer (Cedar Rapids, IA), sisters Ida Schmadeke (Cedar Falls, IA), and Bonnie Simpson (Oelwein, IA).
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, wife Georgia, brother Dan Kemmerer, and sister Harriet Anne Thede.
Per Tom's request, there will not be a memorial service. His family would like to thank the staff of North Arkansas Central Medical Center, Dr. Bruce White's office, Barnes Jewish Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, a nd Hospice of the Ozarks. Any donations may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.

Lynette (Lynn) Lorraine Magdaline Johnson, 54, of rural Melbourne, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Iowa River Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20th, 2009, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. There will be no visitation. Lynette was born on October 31, 1954, to Wayne and Theresa (Wagner) Hoofnagle in Waterloo, Iowa. She attended school in Waterloo, graduating from Orange High School and later attended UNI. Lynette married Bruce Ladewig in New Port Richey, Florida. They later divorced. She had resided in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area before moving to Marshalltown in 1985. She later married Matt Johnson on October 31, 2001.
Lynette had been employed by the DOT for 20 years before retiring due to health reasons. She loved to play cribbage, gardening, enjoyed needle work, fishing, loved music, and was an excellent marksman and loved her constant companion her dog, Dippy.
Left to cherish Lynette's memory are her husband Matt, her sons, Eric(Melanie) Ladewig of Villa Park , Illinois, and Nicholas (Emily) Ladewig of Marshalltown; her stepchildren Lindsay and Travis Cooke, her grandchildren Lilly Rhyan Ladewig and step-grandchild Roben; her mother and father Wayne and Theresa Hoofnagle of Waterloo; her siblings, brother Dean Hoofnagle of Hawaii, sister SuZanne (Mark Chapleau) of Iowa City, brother Lyle (Diana) Hoofnagle of Edina, Minnesota, her brother Kim(Karen) Hoofnagle of Oelwein, Iowa, sister Dawn(Scott ) Ferguson of Lovell, Maine, and sister Anne Hoffnagle of Pennsylvania and in-laws Bob and Marilyn Ladewig. Lynette was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Hoofnagle.
