Memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Old Union Cemetery in Hackett.

She is survived by two sisters, and a brother.

ALLEN, Mildred Pearl Age 91, of Sutherlin, Oregon passed away Saturday, August 22, 1998 in a local care center. She was born March 1, 1907 in Plainville, Illinois, to Fred and Pearl (Kellum) Foster. Mildred was united in marriage to Thel Allen on October 5, 1959 in Dillard, Oregon. She had lived in the Roseburg area since 1948, moving from Linwood, California. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post #0016 of Roseburg, Oregon. She loved to crochet and knit, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mildred was a member of the Vine Street Baptist Church of Roseburg. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Thel of Sutherlin, a daughter, Marilyn Fosback and her husband Jim of Roseburg, a son, Kenneth Mahoney of Portland, Oregon, four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Lee Mahoney, in 1954, one grandchild, Karen Sue Fosback, one sister, and one brother. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 1998 at 2:00 pm in LONG & SHUKLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Pastor Steven Brewer will officiate. Committal service will follow in Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Long & Shukle Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
