Evelyn (Aldrich) Spangler, wife of Earl Spangler, died Saturday, March 31, 1934, at St. Mary's Hospital, Niagara Falls, aged 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Earl, her son, Jack, her mother, Mrs. Eva Aldrich, three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Kautz, Mrs. Edward Halway and Mrs. William Simmons, her grandmother, Mrs. Matilda Goodenough, all of this city.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 3rd, at two-thirty from the home of her mother. Mrs. Eva Aldrich, 14 Morrow ave, this city. Interment will be in Cold Springs cemetery.

Jean A. Kautz, May 28, 1924~March 31, 2009
Jean A. Kautz, formerly of Lockport, NY, was the daughter of Arthur and Ruth Aldrich Kautz. Jean accepted a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin for her undergraduate degree and then on to Mills College in Oakland, California for her Master's Degree. Jean taught for 38 years, beginning her teaching career at the Buffalo Seminary and ending her career in San Francisco: A.P. Giannini Middle School (1954-1969) and Lowell H igh School (1969-1983), where she was also the Girls' Basketball Coach f or eight years. After retiring in 1983, Jean spent ten years in Lockpor t looking after her mother before moving back to her home in Tiburon, California. In 2003, Jean moved to Spring Lake Village.
Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her brother, Lt. William Kautz, who was killed in action during WWII.
Surviving are a nephew, William Kautz of Olympia, WA and several cousin
As was her wish, her body was buried in the Aldrich Family Plot in Lockport, NY. A graveside ceremony was held at the Cold Springs Cemetery on April 13, 2009. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Spring Lake Village on June 19, 2009 starting at 11:00 AM. Friends are welcome t o attend the service. The address is 5555 Montgomery Dr., Santa Rosa, C A 95409. No flowers please, but donations may be made in her memory to t he charity of your choice.
