Ida Wilson was born on 27 February 1912 in Ontonagon, Ontonagon, Michigan. She and Alfred Ezeliah Kilmer, Jr., were married on 10 September 1934 in Libertyville, Lake, Illinois. She died on 23 April 2007, at age 95, in Ontonagon, Ontonagon, Michigan.
Ida Wilson Kilmer Glaser died peacefully on April 23, 2007, surrounded by her children at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Ontonagon, Michigan.

Ida Wilson was born in Ontonagon on February 27, 1912, to John and Ida Wilson. She was orphaned at the age of three and raised by her father's brother, Joseph and Catherine Wilson and their children, Andrew and Alvina. Ida graduated in 1929 from the Ontonagon school system and then attended County Normal.

She and Alfred Ezeliah Kilmer, Jr. eloped to Libertyville, Ill. on September 10, 1934, and resided first with his parents in Greenland before buying a home in Ontonagon in 1943 where they raised five children. Ida was widowed in 1964.

Ida worked as a deputy county treasurer with Fred and Grace Dreiss and later worked as a clerk for Rosemurgy's Department Store.

She was active in the Siloa Lutheran Church all of her life. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Mom was always ready to lend a helping hand whether preparing the Swedish meatballs for the annual smorgasbord or providing transportation to church every Sunday.

She was a loving wife and mother and a generous, caring member of the community who will be greatly missed.

In 1972, she was preceded in death by her natural parents, John and Ida Wilson; her adoptive parents, Joseph and Catherine Wilson; adoptive siblings, Andrew and Alvina Wilson; first husband, Alfred Kilmer; second husband, Fred Glaser; her brothers, Bill Beck and George Wilson; her sister, Edith Sanderson; her eldest son, Richard Kilmer and great-granddaughter, Alexandra Builta.

Ida was survived by her daughter, Carol (Vern) Dalback; son, William (Kathy) Kilmer; son, Fred Glaser, Jr.; daughter, Jean Lockhart; daughter, Joan (George) Nygard; daughter, Penny (Dan) Rellis; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
