Genevieve R. Builta was a Registar in St. Anthony School of Nursing. Genevieve R. Harned, 87, of Belvidere died Monday in her home, after an extended illness.
Born August 14, 1921 in Garden Prairie, the daughter of Simon and Frieda (Holtfreter) Builta. Graduate of Belvidere High School, class of 1939. Married Charles Harned on November 25, 1942 in Lincoln. Lived all her life in the Belvidere area.
Gen was retired from the St. Anthony School of Nursing, where she was the registrar for 16 years. Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Women of Moose Chapter 1052, John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461 VFW auxillary, SOROSIS, former member of St. Joseph Hospital Auxillary and ZONTA.
Survived by husband, Charles of Belvidere; sons, William (Jennifer) Harned of Mason, Ohio, and James (Chrys) Harned of Belvidere; daughter, Sandra (Rich) Buker of Belvidere; grandchildren, Tom (Jennifer) Harned, Andrea Harned, Adam Harned, Erin Harned, Mindy Buker and Luke Buker; great-grandaughter, Claire; four nieces. Predeceased by parents and sister, Lucille Palmer.

Service at 10 a. m., Friday, March 27, 2009, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Belvidere, the Revs. Allen Buss and Eugene Wille officiating. Interment in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p. m. Thursday, March 26, in Belvidere Funeral Home, 203 Logan Ave., Belvidere.

2 Jeanne Kreul, 85, of Loves Park died Tuesday morning, August 7, 2007 in her home after a lingering illness.
Jeanne was born June 21, 1922 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Earl S. and Matae E. (Nichols) Harned. She married Mr. Robert S. Long and then following his death she married Mr. Joseph I. Kreul. Jeanne owned a mink farm for a number of years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Adaline Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.
Survivors include her children, Cele R (John Zordan) Mercer of Rockford, Cedric E (Lara) Long of Bement, IL, Neil H (Edna) Long of Machesney Park, IL, Joseph H (Toni) Kreul of Roscoe, IL, Sandra Kreul of Tampa, FL; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces an nephews; and her "best four legged friend" Buggsy.
Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, both husbands; son, Jeffrey Steven Long; sisters, Ruth and Barbara.
The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Berko, MD and Joan Walker of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Richard Conley and Gerald Croissant for their care and support.
In keeping with Jeanne's wishes there will be no services.
