William Hazard, Jr., was born on 19 September 1934 in Flint, Genesee, Michigan.2 He died on 7 March 1984, at age 49, in Flint, Genesee, Michigan. He was buried in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris, Genesee, Michigan.1

Hazard, William J.- 6386 Oriole Drive, age 49, died Wednesday, March 7, 1984, at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 10, 1984, at Raysin Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Shellhouse officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted by Davison Lodge No. 236 OES at 7:30 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Richfield Road United Brethen Church or Davison Temple Association or Bay Valley Medical Association. Mr. Hazard was born in Flint, September 19, 1934, and had been a Flint resident all of his life. He was a member of Davison Lodge No. 236 F&AM, Davison Chapter No. 299 OES, Elf Khurafeh Shrine and Bay City Consistory. He served on the advisory board and was Master Counselor of Order of Demolay of Davison, served in the U.S. Army, and was presently on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Well Drillers Association and served 2 years as President. He served 2 years as Chairman of the Michigan Well Drillers Association Convention. He was a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Farm Bureau and the National Water Well Drillers Association. He started drilling wells with his father in 1956 and then owned and operated Hazard Well Drilling, Inc., since 1960. Surviving are: wife, Freda; 3 sons, William G. and wife Sharon of Davison, Randy E. and Patrick, both at home; daughter, Rhonda, at home; 3 grandchildren, Coree, Ryan and Christopher; brother, James Hazard of Flint; 2 sisters, Dorothy Hull of Flint and Ruth Ann LePard of Flint; mother and step-father, Dorothy and Reginald June of Davison. He was preceded in death by his father, Willaim Hazard, April 25, 1959.

Beloved husband of Dorothy (Ryan); Dear father of Caroline (Mrs Dieter Schormann), of Cambridge; Lynda (Mrs Wayne Garland), of Hamilton; Dear brother of Helen Vansickle, of Brantford and Jack Vansickle, of Kitchener. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Christopher, Bettina and Stephen.

Mr Vansickle was an employee of the Hamilton Cotton Company, of Hamilton. Visiting for friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday. Service in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment in Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
