Helen Vivian Kobeska McClintock was born April 11, 1917 in St. Paul Minnesota. She went to sleep in Jesus on April 8, 2014 just three days before her 97th birthday.
Helen grew up in Wisconsin. She had five brothers and three sisters. All have preceded her in death except for her younger brother, Ralph who l ives in St. Paul, Minnesota. She lived in Wisconsin with her husband, Fred for many years. All four of her children were born in the Minnesota -Wisconsin area.
For most of her life, Helen worked with her husband in the bee keeping business. For several years they worked in Wisconsin in the summer and Florida in the winter.
In 1982, after Fred had several episodes with his heart, including bypass surgery, Helen and Fred moved to Kennewick, Washington. Helen has lived in the Kennewick area ever since except for almost eight years during which she lived in Colville, Washington.
Although she was only privileged to obtain an eighth grade education, Helen was self-taught. She always kept a dictionary beside her chair and when she encountered a word she didn't know, she would look it up. Always a hard worker, Helen had little time to enjoy hobbies, but she painted several pictures, made numerous quilts and crocheted a number of item s that her family has enjoyed. She loved flowers, planted many & often took her bouquets to church.
Helen's family has always been of the utmost importance to her. Her husband Fred preceded her in death twenty years ago. She is survived by her four children, Julie Walker of Kennewick, WA., Gene McClintock of Evans, WA., Rosalie Catelli of Yuma, Arizona, and Rob McClintock of Rice, Washington. She has 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Helen loved to talk about Jesus and His soon coming to anyone who would listen. She has been a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church for about seventy years. Her most earnest desire is that her family all be in heaven when Jesus comes.
A memorial service will be held Saturday June 14 at 3 PM at the Kennewi ck Seventh Day Adventist church located at 7105 West 10th Avenue, Kennewick, WA. 99336.
