Obituary
David Donald Flaherty, son of Don and Lena, born February 9, 1949 in Jamestown, North Dakota, entered into Eternal Rest on May 7, 2008. The family moved to Minnesota in late 1949. In 1951, his father was called to active duty in the United States Army due to the Korean War. Later, they moved to Lodi, California in 1953. David attended Kindergarten through high school in Lodi and also attended Salem Evangelical Church and was confirmed there.
In 1969, David was called to active duty in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. Also in 1969, while home on leave, he married Deborah R. Meyer, daughter of Esther and Elmer Meyer. After his discharge from the Army, they began their lives together in Lodi and had two sons, Nathaniel David and Ryan Patrick.
David worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for several years. In 1982, he was employed by the U.S. Border Patrol, later transferring to Bellingham, WA with the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization. They lived in Washington for 14 years until he became ill, then transferred back to Lodi in 2001 working again for the U.S. Border Patrol, retiring after 25 years for the federal government in September 2007. He was currently co-owner of Biker Components Motorcycle Shop in Lodi.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Greg, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Nate and Ryan; parents, Don and Lena; sister, Katherine, her three daughters and their children, and many good friends from Bellingham, Oregon, Blaine, Livermore, Stockton, and Lodi.
He was a very kind, generous, good-hearted person who will be greatly missed. Friends are invited to visit on Monday, May 12, from Noon until 8 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with committal to immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Arnold K. Miller, 82, of Jamestown, North Dakota, died Saturday, October 30, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown. Arnold Miller was born July 26, 1922 in Woodworth, ND, the son of Burton and Velma (Barnard) Miller. He grew up and attended school in Woodworth.
Arnold joined the Civil Conservation Corp. in the late 1930's, then entered the US Army on October 19, 1942 at Ft. Snelling, MN. Arnold served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater during WWII, and was discharged on November 11, 1945 at Camp McCoy, WI.
He married Betty Flaherty on May 12, 1946 in Jamestown. They lived in Grand Rapids, MN, then returned to Jamestown where he worked 34 years for the Northern Pacific Railroad. They owned and operated the NP Steakhouse and A&B Hilltop Haven in Jamestown. They moved to Ypsilanti, ND and Arnold retired from the railroad in May 1984. Betty died on March 25, 1991. He was a member of the Jamestown Eagles and American Legion.
Arnold is survived by his two daughters, Connie Loy of Chokio, MN and Sharon Smith of Denver, CO; one daughter-in-law, Susan Miller of Denver, CO; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Norma Jean (Vernon) Reich of Jamestown; and one brother, Lawrence "Dick" (Cordy) Miller of Sheboygan, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sons, Rodney (in infancy) and Gary Miller; two sons-in-law; three brothers, Howard, Hank & Melvin; and two sisters, Alice & Esther.

Obituary
William (Bill) Mosbacher, Jr. passed away at home surrounded by family on September 10, 2014, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 86. He was born in Freed, N. Dakota on March 10, 1928, to William, Sr. and Della (Kovis) Mosbacher. He grew up in Jamestown, N. Dakota where he married the love of his life, Colleen Marie Flaherty on May 6, 1949.
William served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954, where he served in France and Germany. He was Honorably Discharged, returning home to Jamestown. He went to work for Jamestown Hide and Fur until moving to Lodi, CA in 1971, with his wife and children. William worked for Hughes Chemical, Beck Construction, Claude C. Woods and retired from Baileys Nursery. William loved being outdoors. He fished and hunted when living in N. Dakota. He loved working in his yard, woodworking, and yardselling. Mostly, William enjoyed being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen of 65 years; children, 3 daughters and 2 sons, Della (Bob) Gastro, Jamestown, N. Dakota, Randy (Mary) Mosbacher, Redding, CA, Chris (Vern) Cooley, Lodi, CA, Susan (Don) Fields, Lodi, CA, and Lee Mosbacher, Lodi, CA. His son, Lee Edward, took loving care of him for the past ten years. William has 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Della; infant daughter, Debra; brothers, George and John, and sisters; Edna, Ardella; a baby sister; and his loved little buddy, Otto.
Friends are invited to visit Tuesday, September 16, from 2: 00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
