Funeral service for Charles Lang, 69, of Somerville will be Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Somerville Baptist Church with Brother Shane Lewis officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lang, who died Monday, August 19, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Parkway Medical Center, was born Saturday, July 8, 1944, in Morgan County to James Lang and Inez Brown Lang. He was a longtime resident of Haines City, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Kari Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Lang; four sons, William Lang of Moulton, James Lang of Lake Wales, Florida, Michael Lang of Somerville and Joshua Lang of Babson Park, Florida; four daughters, Teresa Williams of Lake Wales, Florida, Tracy Ellwanger of Davenport, Florida, Wendi Rice of Albertville and Stacy Lang of Decatur; mother, Inez Brown Lang of Somerville; six brothers, six sisters, 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
