Mar. Lila Wintermute, 72, owner of Wintermute Ice Cream Company, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Muscatine General hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Wintermute, 606 Leroy St., was a life resident of Muscatine. She was born June 26, 1896, at Muscatine, daughter of Louis and Julia K. VonDresky Rosenmund. She was married in 1916, at Rock Island, to Raymond A. Wintermute. She is survived by one son, Warren R. Wintermute, Muscatine; one daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Shirley) Hubble, Muscatine; a brother, E C Rosenmund, Muscatine; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband The body is at the Ralph J Wittich funeral home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Dr. J. Henry Teele officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.
