William Floyd Hankison was born on 8 March 1899 in Benton Township, Hocking, Ohio.1 He and Maude Marie Miller were married on 19 March 1918 in Delaware County, Ohio. He and Maude Marie Miller were divorced in 1919. He and Mary Alice Lerch were married on 20 March 1924 in Franklin County, Ohio. He died on 16 November 1962, at age 63, in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio. He was buried in Union Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin, Ohio.
William Floyd Hankison was a Street Car Conductor/ Mechanic in Columbus Transit Company.2,3 William was first married to Maude Marie Miller in 1918. She became pregnant and in December 1918 gave birth to a son that was named Woodrow Wilson Hankison. Woodrow passed away in January 1919 and was buried at Bonair Burnside cemetery north of Westerville ohio. William and Maude divorced in 1919. He later married a divorcee named Mary Alice Smith maiden name was Lerch she was born in Lancaster Ohio and raised in Lithopolis Ohio. She had two daughters from her first marriage Betty Smith and Helen Smith. They met on one of the city of Columbus trollies that William drove in the 1920's and later married. To this marriage was born four more daughter's Rose,Betsy,Virginia,Joan Virginia being my grandmother. William worked for the Columbus transit authority till his retirement and Mary was a house-wife who for extra money would take to washing clothes and sewing for her friends and neighbor's. After Williams death his widow again married to Mr. Herman Gasbarro a friend of Mary and William's of whom she was married to at her passing in 1969. William was buried next to two of his sons inlaws Mr.Eddie Huhn and Mr.Harry Soon all three lie together at Union Cemetery in Columbus Ohio. Mary is buried with Herman and his first wife Carrie at Glen Rest Memorial Estates in Reynaldsburg Ohio.

Mrs. Estella Pearl Hankinson, 80, Nelsonville Rt. 2 (Laurel Run), was pronounced dead on arrival this morning at Mount St. Mary Hospital after suffering a heart attack at her home.

Born in Hocking County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Barbara Sater.

She is survived by her husband William, a son-in-law and daughter of the home and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. James Mathias officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.

The family requests the omission of flowers.
