John Edward Gibbons was born on 1 November 1929.^2,3 He died on 9 April 2005, at age 75, in Seaford, Sussex, Delaware.^2,3 He was buried in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Blades, Sussex, Delaware.³⁴

John, of Seaford, Sussex Co., DE, formerly of Hillsborough, NJ, was the husband of Eugenia A. Freer Gibbons (1930-2005), with whom he shares a grave monument.

He was a Marine Corps 1st Lieutenant and a Veteran of the Korean War. In civilian life John was employed by Allied Chemical Company in Moorestown, NJ, from which he retired.

He was survived by sons John P. and Michael E., daughters Ellen P. Reynolds, Gail A. Hanifin, Susan J. McKenna, and Kathleen M. Gibbons, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
