TROUT RUN, Pa. - Ruth W. Armstrong, 104, died Monday at Manor Care Health Services South in Loyalsock Township.
Born in Lewisburg to James B. and Maggie Smith Weidenhamer on Sept. 8, Mrs. Armstrong lived in the Pelletown section of Frankford, N.J., from 1928 until 1990. She taught school for three years in Franklin, N.J., and one year at Stevens Junior High School in Williamsport. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sussex, N.J.
Her husband, Robert V. Jr., died in 1969.
She is survived by two sons, Hugh W., of North Carolina and Robert, of Virginia; two daughters, Margaret Bigger, of Trout Run and Ellen Proctor, of New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
