North Augusta- Mrs. Lorene Dudley Rigdon, 49, entered into rest Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at the Medical College of Georgia. She was the beloved wife of Mr. John Rigdon of 438 Malone Ave., North Augusta, S.C. 29841 and daughter of Mrs. Evelyn Armstrong Dudney and the late Roy Perry Dudney.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Lakemont Presbyterian Churchm Augusta, with Rev. Jsck Jagoditsch officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Rigdon will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Rigdon was a native of Warner Robins, Ga., and had made North Augusta her home for the past 25 years.
She was a computer trainer with Automated Church Systems in Florence and was the financial secretary for Lakemont Presbyterian Church and Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Augusta. Mrs. Rigdon was an active member of Lakemont Presbyterian Church, Augusta.
Additional survivors include one son, David Rigdon of North Augusta, one daughter, Anita Rigdon of Chattanooga, Tenn; one brother, Kenneth Dudney of Dublin, and two sisters, Mary Jo Wheeler of Las Vegas, Nev., and Margaret Hayes of Warner Robins.
Pallbearers will be Charles Granade, Joel Granade, Tony Esposito, Scott Williams, Clark McNutt, John Farr and Darrell Boutwell.
A visitation with the family will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. this afternoon, Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Elliot Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel, Martinez, Ga.
Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 1544 University Parkway (118 Bypass), Aiken, SC 29801, 648-7175, is in charge of all services.
